watching "The Wizard of Oz" on TV as a kid? It seemed
like it was shown about once a year when I was growing up. I would
watch, big-eyed, terrified, whenever the Wicked Witch came on. My
heart would race and my mouth go dry as Dorothy and the others tried
to run away from her in the castle after trying to steal her broom.
How would they escape?? What a relief when Glenda the Good Witch
finally appeared at the very end to restore order and send Dorothy
back whence she'd come: back home. |
